During the inspection, all accessible circuits are visually and electrically assessed. If the system meets standards, a ‘Satisfactory’ certificate is issued, indicating good health until the next inspection. Conversely, an ‘Unsatisfactory’ report prompts necessary remedial actions before clearance. For those planning major renovations, an E.I.C.R. is recommended to assess the electrical system’s condition beforehand, ensuring safety and minimizing disruptions during subsequent works like kitchen or bathroom fittings.
